# Welcome

Nusa is a marketplace for GPU compute. People with capable computers host them on Nusa, and anyone can rent one of those machines by the hour to run an AI model.

**Renters** choose a model and a machine that can run it. You pay for the hours you want, and the machine is yours for that time: you can chat with the model in the Playground, or call it from your own code through an API.

**Hosts** install Nusa Node on their computer, run a short benchmark, and set an hourly price. Renters pay that price, and the host earns from every rental, minus Nusa's platform fee.

One Nusa account does both. You can rent, host, or do both with the same account.

## Nusa is in Beta

{% hint style="info" %}
**New accounts start with no Credit, and topping up isn't open yet.** To rent, [contact Nusa support](mailto:support@nissology.ai) for Credit. See [Credit](/credit-and-earnings/credit.md).

**Hosts can't withdraw yet.** See [Withdrawing](/credit-and-earnings/withdrawing.md).
{% endhint %}

## What you can do

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Try a model on Overview

Overview, Nusa's front page, lets you chat with a model before you rent anything. Sign in to send your own messages. See [The free trial on Overview](/credit-and-earnings/credit.md#the-free-trial-on-overview).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Rent a model

Pick a model on the Models page, or browse machines on the Marketplace. Choose how many days and hours you want, check the total, and pay with Credit. See [Renting a model](/renting/renting-a-model.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Host a machine

If you have a Linux computer with an NVIDIA GPU or an Apple silicon Mac, you can list it and earn when it's rented. Windows isn't supported yet. See [Hosting on Nusa](/hosting/hosting-on-nusa.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Invite others

Your account has its own invitation link. See [Your account](/getting-started/your-account.md#your-invitation-link).
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nusa.nissology.ai/welcome.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
