# Credit

Credit is what you pay for rentals with on Nusa. It's one balance, shown on every page while you're signed in. Credit, prices and earnings on Nusa are all in US dollars (USD).

## Getting Credit

{% hint style="info" %}
**A new account starts with no Credit, and topping up isn't open yet.**
{% endhint %}

During Beta, Credit comes from:

* **Nusa.** To rent, [contact Nusa support](mailto:support@nissology.ai) and ask for Credit.
* **Your earnings**, if you host: you can move Available earnings into Credit. See [What hosting earns](broken://pages/78518dfe06985c61d1ba71b7e77509bd7eb2ab01#moving-earnings-into-credit).
* **Refunds** for rentals that ended unexpectedly. See [Refunds](file:///6919936/renting/refunds.md).

Credit Nusa gives you isn't taken back when Beta ends.

## What Credit can and can't do

* **Credit pays for rentals**, on Nusa only.
* **It can't be withdrawn**, turned into money, or sent to another account.
* **It can't rent your own machines.**

Every addition to your Credit shows in your history, with where it came from.

## The free trial on Overview

Overview lets you chat with a model before renting one. Sign in to send your own messages.

* **The trial has its own allowance**, separate from Credit. Your Credit stays the same however much you chat.
* **When the allowance is used up, the trial stops.** You can't use Credit to carry on; rent a machine instead. A used-up trial doesn't come back.

Nusa doesn't keep what you type in the trial, or the answers.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.nusa.nissology.ai/credit-and-earnings/credit.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
